Nourishing Plates – Healthy Cooking Interactive Cohort

Description
This supportive cohort is designed to help participants learn how to create nutrition well-rounded meals that are easy to maintain throughout the busy seasons of life. Through hands-on cooking demonstrations, discussions on meal planning, and practical tips for incorporating a variety of food groups, participants will gain the skills needed to prepare balanced meals that promote overall health and wellbeing. Participants will be joining other WellnessIQ clients across the country and globe for this session.
Participants will receive recipes and grocery lists for each week’s menu. Grocery lists are auto generated on Instacart for ease of item purchase. Substitutions are provided to suite dietary needs including vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free.

Week 1: Easy Meal Prep: Garlic Shredded Chicken, Salad in a Jar, Chicken Tortilla Soup (recipe prepared in demo: soup)
Week 2: Stretch Your Ingredients: Rainbow Veggies for the Week, Veggie Pasta Primavera (recipe prepared in demo: pasta)
Week 3: Making the Most of Leftovers: Quinoa & Greens Frittata (recipe prepared in demo: frittata)
Week 4: Seasonal Sourcing: Using What is Fresh (recipe prepared in demo: seasonal soup or bowl)
Week 5: Fill the Freezer: Cook Once, Eat Twice (recipe prepared in demo: turkey meatloaf)
Week 6: Snacks on Hand: Energy Bites & Bars (recipe prepared in demo: cookie dough granola bars)

Each cooking demonstration is delivered by a WellnessIQ’s own Lifestyle Medicine Coach and chef. Sessions are held on Zoom as a 60-minute event. Monthly engagement reports are provided. Wellness technology platform points may be awarded for engagement and should be requested to your Wellness Strategy Manager.
